When Ander first came and for a couple of weeks after, I was wondering if I’d ever get a recall on him. His normal response when I called him was to look at me and run the other way. Now he here’s his name and comes running as fast as he can. I love to see him responding like that.
And in training, he’s starting to offer so many behaviors. He’s no longer a “lump” that gets stuck in a sit or a down and doesn’t move. If he goes down, he gets back up to figure out what I want. I love to see him thinking and trying things. I also love how he’s starting to use his body. . . he knows where those legs are and what to do with them!
